The club landed it's 3rd piece of silverware of recent weeks, when the 'Hill/Cuchullain Gaels combination defeated the Finbarrs/Kevins, in a high octane Final in Darver on Monday night.
The final score was 3-9 to 2-6, and there were some outstanding performances on the winning team.
Mickey Cummins contributed 2 goals, Aaron Rogers scored 1-1, Dylan Lynch 0-4, Jordan Loye 0-2, Paul O'Hanlon 0-1 and Stefan Morrissey 0-1.
Keeper Qudus Yusef had an outstanding match, pulling-off a brilliant save late-on to preserve our lead. Other 'Hill representatives on the team were Stefan Mc Nulty at corner back, and Captain Daniel Fitzsimons, Danny Fu and Colin O'Connor in the forward line. Graham Kearns was introduced as a sub. Andrew Kerr was also part of the panel in the earlier rounds, but missed-out on the final through injury.
Well done to all concerned. The trophy will sit nicely with the Div 4C League and Ladies JFC Cups come season end!
Well done to the 7 D'hill players, who helped the 'Hill/Cuchullain Gaels combination, to a 2-9 to 2-3 win over the O'Rahillighs, in Monday night's Louth Under-14 'C' FC 1st round match, played at St Brigid's Park.
We were 1-5 to 1-2 up at the break, and really cut loose in the 2nd half.
Our magnificent 7 were Mickey Cummins (1-0), Colin O'Connor (0-2), Danny Fu (0-1), Stefan Morrissey, Andrew Kerr, Daniel Fitzsimons and Stefan Mc Nulty.
Former 'Hill playing legend Gerry Roe, is involved in the management of the team.
Best of luck to the lads in the next Round.
Our Under-14 boys team, who are amalgamated with Cuchullain Gaels, collected the County Under 14 'B' League title, when then proved far too strong for the Dreadnots, in the final at Darver on Wednesday night (Aug 12th).
From an early stage, it was obvious our lads were the sharper of the 2 teams, underlined by a run of 3 successive goals in the first few mins.
By half-time, we were in cruise control, leading 3-3 to 0-3.
We didn't take our foot off the gas in the 2nd half, notching-up a further 5-5 on our way to a facile 8-8 to 1-4 victory.
9 D'hill players were in the winning panel, 6 of which started the game. And they were:
Andrew Kerr (1-0), Colin O'Connor (1-1), Daniel Fu (0-3), Brendan Cummins, Graham Kearns and Daniel Fitzsimons.
The 3 subs introduced were Michael Cummins, Qudus Yusef and Oliver Maguire.
A word too, for the absent Stefan Morrissey, who wasn't available for the final, because of holidays. But he was a vital cog in our machine, earlier in the competition.
The annexation of some silverware at this level, is a welcome boost for the club, considering the absence of success at adult level this season.
And we could have further glory on the way, with some of our other underage teams, both boys and girls, still in with a chance of taking titles in the weeks and months ahead!

All these have been featuring and doing well with Darren Rogers and Vinie Roe getting on the score sheet.
U-16 Fixtures
Hill/OMahonys V Mellifont Rovers (Wed 16th of April, 7pm in the Point Road)
Roceh Emmets V Hill/OMahonys (Wed 23rd of April, 7pm in Roche)
The under 18 lads have gotten off to a flying start with 2 wins from their 2 opening games of the Special League. Hill/OMahonys defeated Roche emmets by eight points with 6 lads from the Hill involved including David McCrave, Antone Rogers, Sean Matthews, Stephen McGinn, Chris Duffy and Paudie Reel. The Hill/OMahonys then went onto beat the Brides/Mochtas/A'minnom amalgamation in a more even and tightly contested affair. The H/Om trailed by a goal at half time but rallied on by manager Martin O Brien at half time and a much stronger and spirited display they managed to turn it round and win well in the end. The team is slowly starting to take shape and the Hill and OMahony lads should continue to progress well. Involved for the Hill that night were Sean Matthews, Daniel Kerr, Paudie Reel, David McCrave, Chris Duffy and Thomas Thornton. Antone Rogers has a sprained ankle and will be out of action for circa 6 weeks and although a big loss will hopefully be back soon for the big games. The u-18s next outing is away to St. Josephs next Monday April 7th.

Challenge Match:
Dowdalshill 0-9 -- O Raghallaighs 4-10
The u-16s and u-18s from Dowdalshill combined played a friendly last Friday night (March 7th) in Darver against the O'Raghallaighs. Although defeated by a strong O'Raghallaighs team they were many postives on the night. Stephen McGinn aka "Spud" was undoubtedly the Hill's man of the match and played a stormer at left half back. Antone Rogers scored 5 points on the night and worked tirelessly throughout. Sean McCoy and Dido McCrave were solid at the back while Thomas Thornton had a better game when moved into the full back position. Paudie Reel had a very good game at right half back and scored a great point in the second half. Of the younger lads Vincie Roe, Sean Duffy, and Darren Rogers looked sharp up front while Fergal Mellon put in a great performance at corner back. Although grateful to Seamais Agnew for standing in, Dowdallshill will rue some poor goalkeeping.
Scorers: Antone Rogers (0-5), Paudie Reel (0-1), Stephen McGinn (0-1), Vincie Roe (0-1), Marcus (0-1)
The Hill team were:
Seamus Agnew
Sean Duffy Sean McCoy Fergal Mellon
