Thanks to Liam O Hagan and the ladies from Priority Printing for getting the buckets looking so well. Finally, to all who volunteered to stand for two long hours in the cold, thank you very much.

The Louth CCC have revised the starting times for next Sunday's big double-header at St Brigid's Park. With worries over fading light (time-changing next Sat night, and provision for extra-time), the SFC Final replay between St Patricks and Newtown Blues has been brought-forward to 2.30pm, while the Junior 2A Final between Cooley and the Gaels, will now start at 12.30pm.
Parking and stewarding arrangements will be announced during the week.
For the first time since 2007, St Brigid's Park has been chosen as host venue, for Sunday's Louth SFC Final Replay between Newtown Blues and St Patricks (2.30pm). Although the club missed-out on the original fixture to Drogheda, it's still a great honour to be chosen second time around, particularly in our 125th year.
The game on the 30th will be the second part of a double-bill. The first match at 12.30pm is the Junior 2A FC Final between Cooley and the Gaels.
With such a large North Louth involvement, a bumper crowd is anticipated, and some forward planning will be necessary on the club's behalf, to ensure the day runs smoothly. Therefore we'd like to send out an early appeal to all club members and friends, to make themselves available if possible, to help-out in the run-up to the big day, and on the day itself.
Further details will be announced later.

There were huge celebrations around the Lisdoo area on Tuesday night, when word emerged that popular localman Robbie Beggs had scooped the €15,000 Jackpot, in the long-running club lotto. The Jackpot had not been claimed in over 3 years, and with multiple rollovers, the decision was made earlier this year, to cap the prize at €15,000. It became so long-running, that it was almost a shock to the system on Tuesday night, when the tellers proclaimed that someone had come-up with the magical 4 numbers, and when the lucky ticketholder Robbie was telephoned to be informed of the great news, he was in a state of shock himself! Robbie's winning selection was 6, 15, 19 and 25, and he'll be picking-up his cheque over the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, the Lotto returns next Tuesday night will the lesser, but no less lucrative Jackpot figure of €6,500.
Keep playing and who knows, you could be the next Robbie Beggs!

Congratulations to our Ladies Senior team who won the County Division 2 League title last Sunday, with a 1-8 to 1-6 win over St Patricks at a sun-kissed Haggardstown.
Despite making the worst possible start by conceding a goal in the very first minute, the 'Hill girls battled back, and a goal from Sonia Hoey soon after, had the tie back in the melting pot.
The 'Hill went-in ahead by a point at the break, but had to call on all their reserves in the second half, to keep their narrow lead intact.
Pats threw everything but the kitchen sink at our defence in the closing stages, but our rearguard held firm, sparking scenes of mass hysteria at the final whistle, as the players and management celebrated the capture of the League trophy and promotion to Division One next season.
Joint captains Una Pearson and Janine Kelly recieved the trophy at the end of the game.
There were many outstanding performance on the day, including from the ever industrious Ciara O'Connor, and defender Karen Wynne, who proved a collossus in that second half.
Later, the girls enjoyed a night back in the St Brigid's Park clubhouse.
Well done Ladies, and hopefully there'll be reason for further celebration with the C'ship still to come!

President of the GAA Mr Christy Cooney visited Páirc Naomh Bríd on Wednesday 20th July at 7.00pm. Mr.Cooney was shown around the club by Chairman Peadar Toal. He met the ladies team who were training for their league final on Sunday next. Assisted by Alan Milton, he took part in a Q&A session with twenty club members. Christy asked club members about the foundation of the club, where the club was presently and where did they see the club in five years time. Mr Cooney praised the club for their work at underage level and with the ladies football. A cup of tea and a biscuit was had by all under the watchful eye of the Slimming Word class.
